STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 18 JUN 2012
BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded in a volatile session on MONDAY and tanked down later as investors faced two important results one from Greek election and another from Reserve Bank of India’s monetary policy. RBI declared the credit policy today and came with unchanged CRR and interest rates and left the repo rate while Greek elections won by pro-bailout democracy party faded the hopes of change in Euro break-up. RBI decision created the pressure over the banks caused the banking sector crashed more than 3 percent led by India’s largest lender State Bank of India tanked more than 4 percent on the session.

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 15 JUN 2012
BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded higher on FRIDAY surged 290 points and 70 points respectively from intraday low as investors participated and took fresh long positions in the market. Investors are quite optimistic over the Greek elections scheduled on 17 JUN and Reserve Bank of India’s monetary policy to be announced on MONDAY expecting a rate cut of 25 basis points in repo rate and 25 basis points in CRR (cash reserve ratio). Inflation data for MAY already announced yesterday which was higher 7.55 percent against the previous month’s 7.23 percent would create a pressure over RBI to go for a rate cut of 50 basis points. However index major Tata Motor, ACC and Grasim Industries topped the buying list while Sesagoa, Bajaj-Auto and Sterlite Industries limited the gains.
The SENSEX closed 272 points up at 16,950 and the NIFTY stood at 5,134 up by 80 points.

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 14 JUN 2012
BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded in a volatile session initially tanked later in second half as rising inflation data hit the sentiments. Inflation rose by 7.55 percent against 7.23 percent in previous month which would surely dampen the hopes for further monetary easing by Reserve Bank of India schedule to be announced on 18 JUNE. SENSEX took a long rally of 900 points up in previous eight sessions except today lost more than 200 points. Weak European market opening further added the fuel to the fire. Punjab National Bank, Tata Motor and IDFC led the downside rally while index heavy weight Infosys, Cipla and ACC Cements topped the buying list.
The SENSEX closed 202 points down at 16,677 and the NIFTY stood at 5,054 down by 66 points.

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 12TH JUN 2012
BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded lower in earlier trading hours bounced back smartly in second half as hopes over Reserve Bank of India’s rate cut boosted the investors sentiments. Experts are expecting a rate cut of 50 basis points in repo rate or 50-100 basis points in cash reserve ratio which would release Rs. 60,000 crore in to the banking system. Rating agency Standard and Poor’s already warned to downgrade India’s investment and sluggish growth in GDP for fourth quarter would create a pressure over RBI to go for further rate cut. However banking, Auto, Engineering and Software stocks topped the buying list while DRREDDY, RANBAXY and Hindustan Unilever created the pressure over the index.
